Coach Paige is a piano teacher based in the Grosse Pointe area who aims to help students find meaning, wellness, community, and joy through music. With years of practice and study, including an undergraduate degree in Piano Performance from Oakland University under Dr. Tian Tian and a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy from the University of South Carolina under Dr. Scott Price, Coach Paige has come to the conclusion that the main goal of music learning is exploration and discovery, with a focus on igniting the imagination and musical understanding of students.

While studying with Coach Paige, students will have the opportunity to discover a wide range of repertoire including pop, jazz, classical, and even Broadway music. They will also learn about music theory, musical analysis, keyboard technique, ear-training, transposition, improvisation, accompaniment skills, lead-sheet reading, and sight-reading. However, Coach Paige recognizes that the lessons will not only be about these musical skills, but also about personal growth and development. Students will become problem-solvers, independent learners, disciplined time managers, and confident young artists. They will be encouraged to make their own musical decisions and take ownership of the messages they communicate through music, ultimately discovering the power of music to connect and unite people. To further support this, students are frequently invited to participate in seasonal recitals, RCM Exams, and Piano SAT Exams. Coach Paige eagerly awaits being your guide on this musical journey.
