Beck VanAmberg

Beck VanAmberg (he/him) is a guitarist/vocalist/multi-instrumentalist based in the Detroit area who loves all facets of music-making. In addition to working on whatever his latest project may be, Beck enjoys teaching guitar, ukulele, bass, and drums to any student interested in music. Beck has been playing guitar for 12 years and teaching for six. He frequently performs in and around Michigan with his bands Katharsis and APOTEH, while also recording and releasing music under the name Beck Tambien. As a vocalist, Beck has been engaged in several performances in the area, including the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s production of Mahler’s 2nd Symphony. He also does live sound work for several local groups and has worked on the recording team for the annual Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit. Beck currently holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Wayne State University.
