Evan Maus

Evan Maus is an experienced, versatile Multi-Instrumentalist of 13 years. Teaching himself how to play drums at a young age, he later expanded his horizons to other instruments including guitar, bass, and piano to become well-versed in a wide array of different instruments and play styles. Evan has worked as a contract musician for large churches in the Metro Detroit area such as Woodside Bible Church and Kensington Church. He has also worked alongside seasoned professionals, learning different genres of music. He has a passion for music theory and helping people grow and express themselves through music.

Evan has spent over a decade studying and practicing music theory, songwriting, as well as mastering his instruments. His style of teaching incorporates elements of music theory to help his students understand their instruments past the fretboard. He believes everyone has a story to tell through their instrument, and he makes the process fun, enjoyable, and insightful for music students of all ages and skill levels. In his free time, he is the lead singer, guitarist, and main composer for his metal band Snakes In The Gatehouse.
